Funds managed by BNP Paribas Private Equity (BNPP PE) invest Euro 1.800,000 in Acropolis’ capital increase

June 2010 by Marc Jacob

Acropolis Telecom, created in November 2001 by Samir Koleilat, is a telecom operator specializing in phone over IP and convergence of voice, video and data for companies having between 5 to 2000 employees, established as one or a multi-site entity, either in France or in Europe.

After a first investment of Euro 700.000 in May 2009, BNPP PE demonstrates its support in Acropolis Telecom’s ambitious development plan. This plan includes acquisitions in the French market in order reach a national footprint. Acropolis Telecom will continue its internal growth by financing its own value-added offers in the field of convergence telephony and IT and unified mail service.

In the market dominated by pure distributors, Acropolis Telecom is a real operator (authorization ARCEP, Interconnections France Telecom, own dialing resources, portability codes…). This positioning enables Acropolis to attain a large range of clients and to convince the big ones. The company is also able to control its own costs and to offer solutions that are economically more worthwhile and technically more complete with regard to telephony, Internet, data and CRM. More specifically, Acropolis Telecom has a different technical and qualitative approach.

The company has proved its know-how and its control of the quality, in particular for multi-site SMEs.

Acropolis Telecom had a turnover of Euro 5 millions in 2009, + 25% as compared to 2008.
