ForeScout Named Finalist in ‘Best Deployments & Case Study’ Category of 2014 Hot Companies and Best Products Awards
June 2014 by Marc Jacob
ForeScout Technologies, Inc. announced that the company has been named a “Best Deployments and Case Study” finalist in the 2014 Hot Companies and Best Products Awards for its CounterACT network security platform implementation at Rollins College.
As part of organisations’ continuous monitoring and mitigation strategies, ForeScout enables companies to more efficiently preempt exposures, resolve issues and reduce their cyberthreat footprints. ForeScout CounterACT delivers dynamic asset intelligence to help IT organisations discover, classify and monitor network users, devices and applications; find and mitigate rogue, vulnerable and non-compliant devices; and efficiently remediate endpoint integrity issues.
With over 4,000 users, Rollins College needed to advance its bring your own device (BYOD) capabilities on its wireless and wired networks, as well as enable means to more efficiently assess and prevent devices outside of security policy from connecting to network resources. Not only did Rollins gain an upper hand in regulating access while maintaining ease of use for the end user, but it materially enhanced its network monitoring and policy enforcement capabilities. More so, Rollins College was able to free up more than 100 man-hours of IT time per month based on the product’s ease of use and automated approach, which helped minimise manual security and audit activities. Hear what Troy Thomason, director, networks and operations, Rollins College, has to say about the CounterACT deployment, and read the complete case study.
Rollins College’s experience, with regards to return on investment (ROI) and satisfaction with their CounterACT implementation, follows similar patterns demonstrated in a ForeScout customer survey conducted by TechValidate. The results of this survey revealed that 93 percent of the respondents indicated the product overwhelmingly exceeded their ROI requirements, and 91 percent identified CounterACT’s ease of installation and operation as being extremely differentiated against competitive solutions
