ForeScout Earns Frost & Sullivan’s Network Access Control Global Technology Innovation Award

February 2012 by Marc Jacob

ForeScout Technologies, Inc., a provider of automated security control solutions for Fortune 1000 enterprises and government organisations, has received the prestigious 2012 Global Technology Innovation Award from Frost & Sullivan for network access control (NAC). This global recognition testifies to ForeScout’s NAC technology innovation and market leadership.

The Frost & Sullivan award for global technology innovation is presented to the company that has demonstrated technological superiority, functional innovation and differentiation within their industry that results in increased customer value and market potential. ForeScout was chosen from a category comprised of a dozen vendors that were assessed during the development of a 2012 NAC market report and subsequently reviewed for final consideration of this award. Top companies were researched according to Frost & Sullivan’s best-practice methodology comprised of industry and category analysis, strategic vendor assessment, product appraisal and customer interviews. The Frost & Sullivan innovation award findings are available at http://blog.forescout.com/FS-Award.

“Innovative NAC solutions enable customers to automate numerous security and operational processes that provide tangible cost savings, as well as enhanced defences and support for numerous compliance mandates,” said Chris Rodriquez, network security industry analyst at Frost & Sullivan. “ForeScout has consistently demonstrated the ability to identify customer needs and develop functionality to meet their requirements – often ahead of the market. We expect that this innovation will continue to provide ForeScout competitive advantages and customer value.”

ForeScout CounterACT helps IT organisations optimise end-user productivity and network accessibility through security automation. The intuitive, extensible and scalable NAC platform lets you see and control everything connected to your network no matter the device or user. CounterACT discovers, classifies and assesses network devices in real time, enforces user/device security policies, finds and fixes threats and compliance gaps, and fortifies mobile security and bring your own device (BYOD) initiatives.

According to Frost & Sullivan, ForeScout’s automated security control platform, CounterACT, offers versatile and enterprise-grade NAC capabilities that provide tremendous customer value. From a non-intrusive, interoperable and scalable product architecture to a complete, integrated feature set, ForeScout CounterACT provides end-to-end NAC functionality with an overall lower total cost of ownership and a faster time-to-value when compared to leading alternatives.
