Extreme Networks and Schneider Electric Expand Relationship
September 2016 by Emmanuelle Lamandé
Extreme Networks, Inc. announced an expansion of its relationship with Schneider Electric to deliver highly resilient networking solutions within the Schneider Electric Foxboro Evo Distributed Control System. Extreme also joins Schneider Electric’s Collaborative Automation Partner Program (CAPP) to provide networking and wireless solutions to Schneider Electric’s global customers, which span multiple vertical markets and require reliable and highly available technology.
Extreme’s software-driven networking technologies have been part of the Foxboro Evo Distributed Control System since 2003, demonstrating the reliability, performance and cost-effectiveness of Extreme’s network solutions for electric and industrial manufacturing markets, such as waste water treatment plants, oil and electric.
The enhanced relationship coincides with Extreme’s newly launched Industrial Switch portfolio. Designed for industrial use, Extreme Industrial Switches provide continuous uptime, manageability and operational efficiency in the harshest environments.
Through its CAPP membership, Extreme will have access to technical engineering experts to help with the use, development and integration of Schneider Electric automation and control technologies. Schneider Electric customers will realize the benefits of access to Extreme’s wired and wireless technologies, networking analytics and security solutions, as well as Extreme’s recently launched ExtremeCloud™ platform.
