Emulex Provides SAN Connectivity for HP StorageWorks 6400 and 8400 EVAs

Emulex Corporation announced that its LightPulse® Fibre Channel Host Bus Adapters (HBAs) support the new HP StorageWorks 6400 and 8400 Enterprise Virtual Arrays (EVAs), running Windows Server 2003, Windows Server 2008, HP-UX 11i and Linux operating systems.
Emulex LightPulse HBAs offer customers :
– Comprehensive virtualization capabilities with support for N_Port ID Virtualization (NPIV) and virtual fabric – allows application of SAN best practices, tools and processes with virtual server deployments
– Host to Fabric FC-SP authentication – ensures end-to-end data integrity and protects sensitive data from unauthorized access
– Support for Message Signaled Interrupts eXtended (MSI-X)
– Common driver model allows a single driver to support all Emulex HBAs on a given OS
– Support for 8Gb/s, 4Gb/s & 2Gb/s Fibre Channel devices – integrates seamlessly into existing SANs
Emulex LightPulse HBAs and mezzanine cards are supported across a range of HP StorageWorks storage arrays and HP Industry Standard Servers, including HP ProLiant and Integrity -class servers.
