Elbit Systems and CYBERBIT Receive Frost & Sullivan Award for Competitive Strategy Innovation and Leadership in the Global Cyber Intelligence and Security Market

October 2015 by Marc Jacob

Elbit Systems Ltd. announced that it received an award from the prestigious business research and management consulting firm Frost & Sullivan, which recognized its cyber subsidiary, CYBERBIT, for “Competitive strategy innovation and leadership in the global cyber intelligence and security market”.

CYBERBIT, established earlier this year, is comprised of Elbit Systems’ cyber activities, and includes the recently acquired Cyber and Intelligence division of Nice Systems. CYBERBIT provides a set of unique products for the emerging Cyber Security market with a specific focus on Detection, Mitigation and Response processes in mission-critical enterprises in both government and commercial entities.

CYBERBIT’s intelligence solutions provide law enforcement agencies, intelligence organizations and signal intelligence (SIGINT) agencies with end-to-end tools for creating communication intelligence on all known media and devices.

Frost & Sullivan points out that entering the cyber market appears to be a complex and comprehensive move, with many challenges for defense companies and with more than one potential market entry strategy to implement. According to the firm, the implementation of Elbit Systems’ strategy reached a new peak of excellence when the Company decided to form a new subsidiary and to procure one of the world’s leading cyber and intelligence operations: Nice’s Cyber and Intelligence Division. This move has created a new significant player in the market - CYBERBIT, which leverages Elbit Systems’ knowledge and positioning in the defense market as well as Nice’s positioning and experience in the commercial market.

Frost & Sullivan’s consulting manager, Yaki Baranes, said: “As a defense integrator, Elbit Systems brings its time-tested strategy to the cyber world, offering its clients an even greater end-to-end solution. By procuring Nice’s cyber and intelligence division, and forming CYBERBIT, Elbit Systems will be able to sell stand-alone products and solutions to smaller players, and CYBERBIT will be able to address clients from all sizes and from all market segments”.

Frost & Sullivan analysts see the creation of CYBERBIT as a unique and strategic move that will significantly increase Elbit Systems’ dominance, leadership and market share in the cyber market for both commercial and defense end users.
