Donald R. Friedman Appointed to Datawatch Board of Directors

Datawatch Corporation announced that Donald R. Friedman has been appointed to the Company’s Board of Directors, effective immediately. His addition expands the Board to nine members.
Mr. Friedman brings extensive experience in technology leadership and marketing, with both emerging growth organizations and Fortune 500 companies. He spent 30 years at IBM Corporation, where he held Vice President and General Manager roles in the company’s EMEA group, overseeing both software and hardware business units, and spearheaded the company’s strategy to address the small and medium business market. He was a member of IBM’s Senior Management Group, the Strategy Executive Council, the Worldwide Marketing Operations Board and the European Management Committee. He was subsequently named EVP and Chief Marketing Officer at CA Technologies (formerly Computer Associates) where he was instrumental in the company’s turn-around. In addition, he has founded and served as CEO of both International Flex Technologies, a high tech manufacturing company, and Datalytics Technologies, an enterprise software company that was acquired by Audax in November 2015. He is a graduate of Stevens Institute of Technology, and completed executive management programs at the University of Virginia’s Darden School and Northwestern University’s Kellogg School. Mr. Friedman has served on several corporate boards, public and private, as well as non-profits, including the National Foundation for Teaching Entrepreneurship and the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation Board in Fairfield/Westchester Counties. He is a past Treasurer and currently a member of the Board and Vice Commodore at Riverside Yacht Club in Riverside, Connecticut.
