David Ferguson Joins AVG Technologies as Chief Marketing Officer

AVG Technologies is pleased to announce that David Ferguson has joined the company in the newly-created position of Chief Marketing Officer, with responsibility for global marketing and online business, from a similar position with dot mobile, a Mobile Virtual Network Operator partnered with Vodafone.
Previously, David spent ten years in the Internet Service Provider and telecoms sector, first as Group Director with cable operator Telewest, where his responsibilities included building both a business unit focusing on SMEs and an award-winning broadband operation, and then as co-founder and Marketing Director of pioneering DSL operator Bulldog Broadband, which was bought by Cable & Wireless. David’s early career was in management consultancy, working on assignments worldwide with firms including Ernst & Young and CACI Inc, focusing in particular on distribution strategy, international market entry, market segmentation and database marketing.
