Check Point Security Credentials Validated with Cyber Essentials Plus Awards

November 2017 by Check Point

Check Point(r) Software Technologies Ltd. has announced that it
has become the first Israeli cyber-security vendor to be awarded two Cyber
Essentials Plus accreditations under the UK government’s Cyber Essentials scheme.

The accreditations, which were presented by British Ambassador to Israel David
Quarrey, certify that both Check Point’s internal processes and its cloud-based
threat prevention service, Check Point Capsule Cloud, meet the basic and advanced
criteria required to prevent cyber-attacks. This provides assurances that neither
the company nor these solutions are vulnerable to common internet based threats and
can be relied on to protect organizations’ data and intellectual property.

The awards are part of the two-tier Cyber Essentials Scheme, launched by the British
government agency in 2014 as part of their National Cyber Security Strategy to help
organisations throughout Britain bolster defences against cyber-attack. The scheme
certifies that an organisation has met a number of stringent criteria to help
protect the organisation’s information and IT systems against cyber-attacks. The
Cyber Essentials Plus accreditation offers a higher level of assurance through the
external testing of an organisation’s cyber security approach.

The assessment was conducted in Tel Aviv by British Cyber Essentials Certification
Body, SJG Digital, who visited Check Point’s Tel Aviv HQ to perform an in-depth
analysis of the information systems.
