According to the report by Gartner Research Vice President Ant Allan, “We estimate the overall growth in the market by customers to be approximately 30 percent year-over-year. Because of the shift toward lower-cost authentication solutions, we estimate the overall growth by revenue to be approximately only 20 percent.” He writes that, “By 2017, more than 50 percent of enterprises will choose cloud-based services as the delivery option for new or refreshed user authentication implementations, up from less than 10 percent today.”
