In response to today’s BT-KPMG Report on cybercrime Geoff White, Underwriting Manager at Lloyd’s, has issued the following statement. Let me know if you need anything further.
We’re seeing overwhelming evidence that cyber-crime is the most pervasive threat to businesses today. With 80% of technology chiefs feeling ill-equipped to deal with organised cybercrime, companies will need support with managing and transferring their risk, as well as managing the incident as effectively as possible. In a world of when, not if, cyber insurance can be an incredibly effective way to protect a company’s balance sheet from the financial consequences of cybercrime.
