Appointments at the Thales Communications Department

As part of the evolution in the Group’s organisation, Thales’s Communications Department
will change as of April 1st 2013.
Matt Pothecary, has been promoted to the position of VP, Group Communications. He reports
directly to the Thales Chairman & CEO.
Alexandre Perra, has been promoted to the position of Deputy Director, Group
Matt Pothecary, 41, a British citizen, joined Thales in 2000 as an International Group Press Officer.
He was Communications Director of ThalesRaytheonSystems (2006-2008), Thales Air Systems
(2008-2010) and Thales Avionics (since 2011). Matt Pothecary was born in the United Kingdom. He
graduated in French, Economics & Politics from Loughborough University and holds a Masters Degree
in British Civilisation from Université de Nancy II (France).
Alexandre Perra, 32, joined Thales in 2008 as an Internal Communications Manager at Thales
International. In 2009, he became Corporate Press Officer and was promoted Head of the Media
Relations department in 2011. Alexandre Perra is a graduate of Institut d’Etudes Politiques (Paris,
France) and holds a Masters degree in Litterature from Paris IV-Sorbonne.
